Drama & Theater Education

HIV testing (55K) Drama is a very engaging and effective communication model because it combines education with entertainment, which YEI refers to as "edutainment".

We organize young people - both in and out of school - into groups and involve them in edutainment.

Our drama groups include post-test clubs, groups of people living with HIV/AIDS,
HIV/AIDS prevention clubs in schools, and groups of caretakers of orphans.

YEI has excellent drama script writers, directors and editors who produce and showcase live productions in the community.

We also direct and record our productions on video so they can be shown in our community campaigns and also used by our partners.

Most of our drama plays are based on HIV/AIDS, human rights, child abuse, child protection and other social issues affecting our community.

If you are an organization or institution requesting support in directing your own drama onto video, or to sponsor a YEI production, please contact the Program Coordinator at coordinator@yei-uganda.org.
