Psychosocial Counseling Services

HIV testing (55K) YEI has a specialized team of counselors and child protection specialists who work with parents, teachers and caretakers of orphans to create more effective parenting techniques.

The counselors also engage them in discussions about how to prevent child abuse and how to educate children about their rights.

We also provide counseling and psychological orientation to rape victims, the bereaved, PLWHAs, victims of physical disability, the chronically ill and orphaned children.

Community discussions and debates on equality and human rights are also conducted by our volunteers and we also provide trainings for law enforcement officers and local opinion leaders.

For more psychosocial orientation, we provide in-door and out-door games to OVCs and other children and organize school youth in reading and debating clubs called "Straight Talk Clubs."

We also help young people who may have suffered abuse give testimonies on the radio and to speak out against abuse in community campaigns.
